One of the best ways to utilize the full benefits of an automation system is to periodically check the operation of the system during unoccupied hours using point trend reports. A building operator can easily determine if the night setback routines are working, how the building zones react, and if the various mechanical systems are operating in the most energy-efficient manner.

Point trends on the Siemens System 600 can be set up by time intervals (for example, every 30 minutes), or by change-of-value (On/Off/Alarm/etc), or by any combination of the two. The number of trend samples you collect is dependent on the amount of memory available in the field panel and can be archived on the hard drive of the Apogee computer, if present. Contact your representative if you have any questions or need assistance setting up the trends or running any of the reports.
